Artykuł obejmuje piątą część badań stali szybkotnącej SW7M realizowanych w ostatnich latach w IOS. Badania dotyczą oceny możliwości kształtowania narzędzi w obniżonej ( w porównaniu do obróbki plastycznej na gorąco) temperaturze. Badania miały na celu wyznaczenie przedziału podwyższonej plastyczności charakteryzującego się występowaniem obniżonego oporu plastycznego i dużym odkształceniem granicznym. Oceniono również wpływ obróbki plastycznej w zakresie temperatury obniżonego oporu plastycznego na strukturę i własności badanej stali po zoptymalizowanej obróbce cieplnej.

The article presents the fifth part of the research on high-speed steel SW7M preformed in last years in the Metal Forming Institute. The research was aimed to assess the possibility of forming the tools in the lower (as compaerd to hot plastic forming) temperature. One of the tasks of the research was to delimit the scope of the temperature of the highest plasticity characterized by lower plasticizing stress and biggest elongation. The impact of the deformation in the range of lower plasticizing stress temperature on the structure and properties of the steel after optimalized heat treatment was determined.
