The article presents the issue of tribological models development. Classification of tribological models is presented. Computer systems are significant as supporting instruments for tribological models creation, because of this, the article presents a computer technique for modelling tribological objects. The scale and limitations of the use of results of empirical investigations are analyzed. The need to develop computer systems for acquisition and organization of experimental data is undelined.
