Niezmiernie ważną rolę w przygotowaniu operatora maszyny do jej właściwej i bezpiecznej eksploatacji odgrywa właściwie opracowana instrukcja obsługi. W artykule przedstawiono, wykonane pod kierunkiem autora, dwa przykłady komputerowych programów symulacyjnych dotyczących modułów przygotowujących paliwo do spalania w okrętowych silnikach wysokoprężnych.
Most often, machinery failures are caused by inadequate maintenance by their operators. Properly designed and drafted operating instructions play an enormous role in the preparation of the operator for adequate and safe machinery operation. In practice, the operating instructions are often very long and complex and are used by the operator only in the event a problem arises and not beforehand. As a result of the evolution of PC's and the broad availability of software intended for creation of simulation programs, machinery manufacturers are presently supplementing typical printed operating instructions with computer based simulation programs in order to improve the way their products are operated by their users. This article presents two typical examples of computer based simulation programs elaborated under the author's direction, in relation to the modules preparing the fuel for combustion in marine diesel engines. These programs have been commissioned and prepared in close co-operation with the company Alfa Laval from Sweden. Individual elements of this type of programs have been described in the article, with particular emphasis on the three dimensional simulation techniques.
