The investigations conducted at the Instytut Spawalnictwa in Gliwice into technology of laser welding of galvanized car body sheets, dissimilar in thickness, designed for tailored blanks, have been presented. It has been described the essential requirements imposed on the joints of this type. Different techniques of laser welding, such as dual beam laser welding and hybrid welding have been discussed.

Omówiono wyniki badań prowadzonych w Instytucie Spawalnictwa w Gliwicach nad technologią spawania laserowego blach karoseryjnych ocynkowanych zróżnicowanej grubości, typu tailored blanks. Podano podstawowe wymagania stawiane tego typu złączom. Przedstawiono różne techniki spawania laserowego - spawanie z podwójnym ogniskowaniem wiązki i spawanie hybrydowe.
