Abstrakty

Paper presents problems of reliability of the digital communication systems. To assure by the exchange the maintenance of calling in the optional moment of time there must be assured the high reliability level of its working. Requirements connected with the reliability of the telecommunication devices are much more stronger than for most of the computer systems. For realization of these requirements it is necessary to double at least the common exchange equipment with possibility to detect the damaged module in the calling disposing system and to change over the switching process to the serviceable module. In the paper there is presented the algorithm of determination of the chosen reliability characteristics for the two-processor system working in the configuration with cold reserve. At the end there is presented algorithm of determination of the availability factor, which is the fundamental measure of reliability estimation used in the evaluation of the communication systems.
