Artykuł dotyczy wpływu naturalnego oświetlenia na kreację współczesnej architektury. Światło słoneczne, uwidaczniając architekturę, podkreśla jej walory estetyczno-przestrzenne oraz stanowi źródło energii. Od najdawniejszych czasów miało wpływ na powstające budowle. Postęp w nauce i technologii poszerzył możliwości i zakres wykorzystania światła. Wzrastające oczekiwania i wymagania wobec architektury sprawiają, że jego wpływ na projekty budynków oraz miast wzrasta.

The article applies to the influence of natural light on the creation of contemporary architecture. Sunlight reveals the architecture, emphasizes the aesthetic and spatial qualities and is a source of energy. Since ancient times it has had an impact on the erected buildings. Progress in science and technology expands the possibilities for the use of light. Growing demands and expectations for the architecture, increases light's influence on the design of buildings and cities.
