Jednym z podstawowych narzędzi służących kształtowaniu mobilności jest propagowanie, ulepszanie i unowocześnianie różnych form transportu alternatywnego względem samochodu osobowego. W przypadku braku odpowiedniej infrastruktury wspomagającej np. śluzy rowerowe, wydzielone drogi i pasy ruchu dla rowerzystów, ścieżki rowerowe itp., spośród wszystkich grup użytkowników systemu transportowego rowerzyści jako niechronieni uczestnicy ruchu drogowego są szczególnie narażeni na potencjalne zagrożenie powstania zdarzenia drogowego. Skutki takich zdarzeń w przypadku rowerzystów są o wiele poważniejsze niż w przypadku kierowców pojazdów samochodowych. Dodatkowo propagowanie zrównoważonego rozwoju systemu transportowego oraz zdrowego stylu życia przyczyniają się do coraz większej liczby podróży odbywanych rowerem. W artykule przedstawiono wyniki badań ankietowych dotyczących poczucia bezpieczeństwa odczuwanego przez rowerzystów w czasie przejazdu przez skrzyżowanie z ruchem okrężnym.

One of the major ways of mobility formation is propagating, improving and modernization different alternative transport form another than cars. In case of lack of suitable assisting infrastructure like advanced stop boxes, separated ways and separated lanes for bicyclists, bicyclists from among all of users groups of road transport system are especially exposed to potential danger of participation in traffic accidents. The results of such accidents in case of bicyclists are much more serious than in case of car drivers. Additionally, propagation the development of sustainable transport system as well as healthy life style contributed to increase the number of trips with bicycle. The results of researches concerned bicyclists road safety feeling during bicycling on circular intersections have been presented in the article.
