Abstrakty

W artykule ukazano tendencje rozwojowe w sektorze węgla kamiennego w Australii. Zidentyfikowano czynniki, które zdecydowały o przejęciu przez przedsiębiorców australijskich pozycji lidera w rankingach konkurencyjności globalnego sektora węgla kamiennego. W szczególności przeanalizowana następujące zagadnienia: - uwarunkowania geologiczne i górnicze ekspansji przemysłu węglowego w Australii ; - międzynarodową współpracę australijskich przedsiębiorstw górniczych z zagranicznymi firmami technologicznymi, handlowymi i logistycznymi ; - rozwój infrastruktury transportu wewnętrznego oraz portowych terminali węglowych.

Development trends in the hard coal sector in Australia are shown. The factors deciding about taking by Australian entrepreneurs the leader position in competitiveness global ranking of the hard coal sector, are identified. The following issues were particularly analysed: geological and mining conditions of coal industry in Australia expansion, international cooperation of Australian mining enterprises with the foreign technological, commercial and logistic companies, development of domestic transport as well as coal port terminals infrastructure.
