"Serce miasta" zdefiniować można dwojako - jako centrum urbanistyczne oraz jako jednostkę życia miejskiego. W artykule mym badam możliwość budowy serca miasta w tym drugim znaczeniu, prezentując projekt znaczącej przestrzeni Wrocławia oraz związanych z nią budynków. Opiera się on na tezie, że treść przenoszona jest przez formę, umiejętne połączenie formy z treścią leży zaś u podstaw dobrego projektu urbanistycznego.

The "Heart of the City" can be defined in two ways, heart as centre and heart as a nurturing vessel. This paper chooses to explore the possibility of building an urban heart in the second of these two definitions by presenting the design of a major urban space for Wroclaw and related public buildings. The underlying thesis is that form carries content and that a careful matching of form and content is at the root of meaningful urban design.
