In this paper authors present problems ralated to the influence of the type of working medium and its thermodynamic parameters for expansion processes proceeded in sliding vane expanders. The selection parameters enable the quality assessment of machine operation with respect to expansion ratio a and construction parameters and are also presented in this paper.
