PL

Zmagając się z globalnymi przemianami, miasto z wielowymiarowym tłem modyfikuje istotę swej roli historycznej oraz symboliki. W świecie rozmaitych cywilizacyjnych tendencji, wysokich technologii oraz nieustannie tworzonych sieci konsumenci przestrzeni miejskich muszą dopasowywać swe potrzeby do zunifikowanych ram narzucanych przez globalny postmodernizm głównego nurtu. Celem niniejszego artykułu jest prezentacja teoretycznego i praktycznego wymiaru tego właśnie problemu będącego przedmiotem badań skupionych na typologii oraz możliwościach odnowy miast. Wymiar teoretyczny stanowi część systemu klasyfikacji nowej typologii, opartego na morfologii (odpowiednie: skala, odległość, proporcja, masa, krajobraz, rytmy wizualne, detal architektoniczny oraz materializacja). Wymiar praktyczny polega na tworzeniu podstaw odnowy miast i odbudowy ulic oraz modeli odnowy miast, które można wykorzystywać dla podobnych typów ulic głównych. Temat ten wiąże się jednocześnie z przestrzenną analizą ulic we wzorcu miejskim, znaczeniem współczesnego miasta oraz architekturą zrównoważoną. Badania oparte są na morfologii głównych ulic i placów miast serbskich, jak również na działaniach wewnątrz struktury fizycznej, które odzwierciedlają formę przestrzeni publicznej.

In facing global changes the city and its multidimensional background modify the essence of their historical role and symbolism. Unprepared to respond to different high-tech civilisation trends and unprotected from the strength of the recently established networks, urban space and its consumers are forced to balance between their needs and unified frames imposed by the global post-modern mainstream. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to present the theoretical and practical dimensions of this problem embedded in research focused on the typology and possibilities of urban renewal. The theoretic dimension is included in the new typology classification system, based on morphology (an appropriate sense of scale, distance, proportion, massing, landscaping, visual rhythms, architectural detailing and materialisation). The practical dimension consists of forming a basis for urban renewal, reconstruction of streets and creating models for urban renewal that can be used for similar types of the main streets. At the same time, the topic is connected with spatial analysis of streets in urban pattern, the sense of the city today and sustainable architecture. The research is based on the morphology of the main streets and squares of towns in Serbia, as well as on activities within the physical structure, which reflect the public space form.
