The paper presents problems of application of empirical modelling for construction of auxiliary models in hybrid model of steam boiler. The problems of energy and exergy evaluation of the boiler are briefiy presented. The necessity of application of auxiliary models in the theoretical-empirical model of the boiler are pointed out. In the presented work the problems of neural modelling of flue gases temperature are discussed in details. Results of calibration of a neural model are presented. The developed model will be applied in a system of energy and exergy evaluation of the boiler.
