The influence of information civilization on the life of individuals as well as on the entire humanity is constantly growing. Also the architects have perceived the chance to widen the scope of their activity to include cyberspace which is free from the limitations imposed on their art in physical space. It is very likely that in the near future, the "material architecture" as well as the one which combines construction elements with elements of virtual reality, will be joined by purely fictional architecture which will nevertheless remain indistinguishable from the real one. However, this does not mean that it will become an autonomous art, likewise painting or graphic art. For in the course of creating virtual architecture, the status of fiction does not free one from responsibility but paradoxically broadens its scope.
