The intangible in architecture, which is somehow never disputed in the aspects of creativity remains outside when the usefulness is discussed. The paper tries to explore the subject of emptiness and usefulness of the architectonic space in western and eastern cultures in terms of the definition of architecture as the art of creation of the space.
