EN

Architecture is a contextual art, it confirms the continuity of the present with the past, depending on the quality of design and understanding of the context. The notion of context means here not only historical, but also political, social and economic conditions. This context is widely discussed in the presented paper with reference to the history of the development of the tenement-houses.
