In this paper, a method of calculation is described, used to determine quasi-steady temperature fields in a two-layer flat wall, exposed to changing heating flux. The heating flux intensity can be described by any periodically variable function. Presented formulas build up a mathematical model of considered temperature field. In special cases, this model corresponds to a temperature field within the walls of a periodically working stove. Further in the paper, practical significance of this mathematical model is pointed out. The model allows calculating within a two-layer wall not only temperature at any point but it also enables to determine the maximum temperature in the critical areas of the wall, as well. The presented graphs illustrate spatial and temporal changes of temperature, demonstrating selected possibilities of this mathematical model.
