In the paper presented is a calculation model of a Deep Geothermal Heat Exchanger (DGHE) together with its characteristics, which enable determination of geothermal energy rate in function of the depth of geothermal heat exchanger, temperature of water pumped into the heat exchanger, volumetric flowrate of such water, reservoir temperature as well as applied insulation on the external side of the heat exchanger. The characteristics developed in such a way for the single bore-hole systems, following the account of relevant characteristics of heat receivers, enable adequate selection of a system for acquisition as well as utilization of geothermal energy for a heat receiving system under consideration.
