Approach to cyclic steady state in simulations of the catalytic reverse-flow combustion of methane
Języki publikacji
Abstrakty
Symulacje komputerowe reaktora rewersyjnego należy prowadzić do osiągnięcia tzw. cyklicznego stanu ustalonego. Zwykle stan ten uzyskuje się metodą bezpośrednich symulacji dynamicznych. Istnieje możliwość zastosowania specjalnego podejścia, opartego na różnych algorytmach minimalizacji, najczęściej na algorytmach Newtonowskich. Dokonano porównania i oceny tych metod w zastosowaniu do symulacji rewersyjnego, katalitycznego spalania metanu.
Computer simulations of the reverse-flow reactor should be performed until so-called Cyclic Steady State (CSS) is achieved. Usually this state is computed by Direct Dynamic Simulation approach. There exists the possibility of special approaches, using mostly the Newton-based minimization algorithms. In this paper, these two approaches for catalytic reverse-flow combustion of methane simulations are compared and evaluated.
