This paper is an attempt to estimate the prospects for introducing the changes in the regulations applied to air pollution protection. The concerned EU directives and technical standarization programmes existing now are shown. Estimation the possibilities for initiating these programmes are made and pointed to cooperation necessity of the national standards organisations.

Praca jest próbą oszacowania możliwości wprowadzania zmian w przepisach dotyczących ochrony powietrza atmosferycznego po rozszerzeniu Unii Europejskiej. Przedstawiono również dyrektywy UE oraz programy standaryzacji technicznej. Dokonano oceny możliwości wdrażania istniejących programów unijnych oraz wskazano na konieczność współpracy jednostek standaryzacyjnych w poszczególnych krajach.
