Abstrakty
An analytical model of heat transfer phenomena occuring in the electric storage heater of free output type has been presented. Such 3-D linear model is applied to the appliance with rod shape heating elements. Transient temperature distribution in the homogeneous storage core was determined for the successive operation cycles. Heat retention ratio of the heater was analysed as well as dependence on the thermal properties of storage material, dimension of the core and arrangement of the heating elements in the core.
