EN

Stud-weld connection between Inconel 601 plugs and carbon steel plate perform all recommended by ASME Section IX properties except bend properties.. This problem has been investigated by optical and scanning electron microscopy. The results of the structural analyses were correlated with the tensile and hardness properties. The reason of brittle fracture is hard martensitic structure just under line of fusion in carbon steel plate.
