Abstrakty

EN

The characteristics of equipment used for membrane processes are discussed. The main difference between the process carried out in the classical and membrane equipment, i.e. the lack of a disperse phase, is indicated. This causes that no foaming and emulsification occurs. It enables also the application of relatively high values of unit streams that affect mass transfer coefficients. Advantages resulting from a moddule structure of the membrane equipment are also presented.
