The structure of big towns is composed of different historical groups. The central part of Cracow occupies a miediaeval structure of a regular land development. Around this centre are quarters with multi-storey housing development, in great part from the XIX-th century. Among them and nowadays borders of Cracow, there is a big zone in which a rest of old suburban structures is replacing with a new development. A little one-floor house, made of brick but reminds a wooden century cottages was a basic element of the low-storey compact settlement of Cracow surburbs. That's why it must be preserved, otherwise our city will lose its historical suburban zones. The way of creating some different kinds of these objects is very interesting. There was a kind of a basic scheme building a shape of various projections. It depennded on putting together some fragments consisted on two rooms. Each of then had a single or twin windows in the middle of the external wall. This kind of the way of the elevation arrangement, with adapting architectural details coming from multi-storey buildings in the centre of the city, had created an original face of one floor homes and made some different kinds of this objects.
