Abstrakty
Traffic flows have been augmenting due to permanently increasing number of the vehicles in the cities. The transport system itself reguires reorganisation considering of two related principles - environment protection and efficiency of transport system. It is important to predict the transport congestion or other extreme situation that could be dangerous from the ecological point of view in the cities. Number of transportation means is constantly growing in Lithuania, especially in the cities. This fact causes a lot of problems and they need the solution. Applying the mathematical models of uniform traffic and shock waves it is possible to construct the valuable model of the extreme situations in cities. The model uses the Matlab mathematical software. The traffic model is a way of simulating traffic flow and to predict the behaviour of traffic. It aims to model flow in congested and non-congested conditions depending on the kind of the problem.
Systemy transportowe w miastach muszą odpowiadać dwom podstawowym zasadom: ochrony środowiska naturalnego oraz ekonomice. W artykule omówiono czynniki wpływające na zmiany tych zasad oraz metody rozwiązywania modeli matematycznych opisujących ruch uliczny.
