PL

Surowe egipskie tkaniny lniane były doświadczalnie niszczone w celu oceny możliwości zastosowania różnych żywic jako substancji wzmacniających i ochronnych dla delikatnych produktów tekstylnych pochodzących ze starożytnego Egiptu. Badano trzy metody sztucznego postarzania włókien: hydroliza kwaśna, ogrzewanie i ekspozycja na sztuczne światło. Stopień rozkładu oceniano różnymi metodami. W celu określenia zmian zabarwienia wykonano pomiary spektrofotometryczne. Aby ocenić zmiany zachodzące na powierzchni tkanin przeprowadzono obserwacje w Skaningowym Mikroskopie Elektronowym. Badano również zmiany właściwości mechanicznych na podstawie spadku wytrzymałości na rozciąganie. W celach porównawczych używane były starożytne egipskie próbki wyrobów lnianych.
