Using the example of their own realisation: the House for Pensioners and Disabled Person in Bytom-Miechowice (opened 1995, investor: Augsburg-Evangelical Church) the authors of the project present the complexity of forming the idea and the architectural expression of the project. The object of the interest is located on the historical site - the former for the protective institution Mother Eve, Eve Tiele von Winkler founded in 1890. The authors of the realisation paid special attention to the fact that senior house should provide its habitants security (e.g. immediate nursing and medical aid) as much as its look should remind them of their own homes, not a hospital. The localisation of the object and initial foundations provoked the necessity to lead profoun studies and consulting works over several different branches of science: psychology, medical science (especially geriatrics), history, geology (demages caused by industry and mining activity), sociology (mainly learning the traditional realations between members of the Augsburg church and the Silesia habitants) and also getting to know traditional art of constructing in the Silesia region - as all the mentioned factors play a part in the eventual outcome of the whole enterprise.
