Rozpatrzono główne obszary zastosowań nowoczesnych rozwiązań teleinformatycznych w transporcie. Omówiono niezbędne dla tych zastosowań wyposażenie techniczne infrastruktury drogowej. Wskazano trendy rozwojowe, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem koncepcji krajowej architektury inteligentnego transportu.

The main application areas of modern IT solutions in transport networks are presented, together with equipment necessary to complement road infrastructure. Also the development trends in transport-related IT are indicated, with special respect to the concept of national intelligent transport architecture.
