Modelling of fragmentation of coal in fluidized bed
Języki publikacji
Abstrakty
Brown and hard coal particles undergo fragmentation during fluidized bed combustion process i.e. the decomposition of coal into a small pieces. It causes increase of combustion surface and accelerates combustion process. A mathematical model of primary fragmentation of coal was determined. Temperature profile, devolatilization time, molar flux of volatile matter and pressure inside a particle were numerically calculated. Experimental results of thermal fragmentation were compared with numerical calculations.
