The article is an outcome of the 8th edition of the International School of Quality, a conference held on Feb 22, 2007 in Warsaw. It covers the experiences presented by the leading European companies, including a French power engineering concern EDF and two automotive industries, i.e. Fiat Auto Poland of Tychy and Volkswagen Motor Poland of Polkowice (both were finalists of the EFQM Excellence Award).
