PL

Promieniowanie jonizujące jest stosowane w leczeniu chorób nowotworowych od początku XX wieku. Sposoby i techniki napromieniania chorych zmieniały się w funkcji ogólnego rozwoju techniki, elektroniki i informatyki. Zostaną przedstawione techniki napromieniania, techniki zmiany rozkładów dawek związane z wprowadzaniem nowych rozwiązań konstrukcyjnych, a także formy współpracy lekarzy i fizyków oraz zmiana roli tych ostatnich w przygotowaniu chorych do leczenia.

Ionizing radiation has been used for cancer treatment since the early 1900s. Over the years the radiotherapy technology has significantly changed after the introduction of many informatics and electronic innovations. Different irradiation techniques, methods of al-teration in dose distribution as well as the crucial significance of interdisciplinary cooperation between physicians and physicists underlying the changing role of the latter in preparing a successful treatment of the patients will be presented.
