EN

Characteristics of nucleon-nucleon interaction are briefly recalled. The correlations introduced by short-range repelling forces and the tensor force are described in some detail. Results obtained by the method of unitary correlators are discussed for several examples of the nuclear many-particle problem including12C and four isotopes of helium.
