The article criticises some fragments of ISO series 9000:2000. The author divides his remarks into two groups. The first one refers to terminological issues. For instance, the author considers the definition of quality management system to be inappropriate; the same refers to replacing the term 'supplier' with 'organisation' (in the sub-supplier - supplier - customer chain). The other part refers directly to the requirements referring to the quality management system as specified in ISO 9001. He is negative e. g. about the necessity to archive too many records and about the problems involved in process identification.
