The dangerous torsional oscillation has a profound influence upon the life-span and function and majority of segments of any mechanical systém. For this reason there is a need to control this dangerous torsional oscillation. Presently this problém is solved via application of flexible shaft couplings with the low torsional stiffness, that is via application of hig- hly flexible shaft couplings. The development and research of highiy flexible shaft couplings is an area of interest of our organization. Therefore, the aim ofthis páper is to inform the technical community about the design, work principle and high-flexibility comparison of pneumatic flexible shaft couplings developed by us.
