||The author goes back to the issue of defining the concept of quality. Starting off with a presentation of the history of interpreting the notion, she considers the chances and need of establishing a single, generally accepted definition. Her discussion is largely based on Polish research of the issue (e.g. she refers to the ideas of R. Kolman, T. Borys, A. Hamrol, W. Mantura, and K. Cholewicka-Gozdzik). She points out that numerous basic problems have not been solved in a satisfactory way by the quality science.
