In Lithuania many firms (not only foreign origin) are more and more interested with the external cooperation, including Western, Central and Eastern European countries. The infrastructure maintenance costs are in Lithuania very low. And the certificates for ISO systems, like quality, environment and others, are evidence to that capability. For to compare and recognize the situation, are shortly 6 different companies possessing the standardized management systems, described. As certification bodies are various, but mostly foreign institutions used, considering the necessity of appropriate prestige for external partners. The number of certified companies increases, some hundred are existing just now, but dominantly with ISO 9000 standards family and with progress - for ISO 14 001 standards (and others too). The new hopes for Lithuania to be member of European Union in nearest years act very stimulative for this performance, although for the growth of economic competitiveness of all organizations the further progress is needed.
