TQM in Polish school? : about mistakes, dangers and hopes

Zapoczątkowana została potężna zmiana w sposobie myślenia o zarządzaniu szkołami i placówkami oświatowymi wśród części kadry zarządzającej. Prawidłowością jednak powinno również być, skoro o doskonaleniu jakości pracy szkół w założeniach reformy mowa, świadome i celowe zarządzanie tą zmianą, czyli jej nieustanne doskonalenie.
A powerful change in the thinking in relation to the school management was starting. This is very positive occurrence, although is joined with the part of school managers only. The introduction of quality management systems is not sufficient, because the continuous improvement of quality must be considered. Therefore this change should be correctly managed. It forms a base for the wide reform of national education system. For these aims was a PHARE Program called TERM-AIE (Training for Education Reform Management-Improving the Administration of Education) used. The activity in 15 centres, located in various regions, was developed. They have been correctly equipped and over 160 candidates for further educators selected, who should disseminate the obtained knowledge in others localities and regions. Based on this way the ideas of TQM were introduced as well. During that performance appeared many problems, which different mistakes, dangers and hopes demonstrated. About that treats the article presented.
