Exploratory analysis of chromatographic data-sets with missing elements. Initialization of the expectation-maximization algorithm

The main goal of the work presented in this paper was comparison of different methods of initialization of missing elements in chromatographic data-sets to speed up convergence of the expectation-maximization (EM) algorithm. The EM algorithm can be built into different computational procedures used for exploratory analysis, for example principal component analysis (PCA) and its generalization for N-way data, i.e. the Tucker3 model.
