Abstrakty
Development of hyphenated separation techniques and chemometric methods enables peak-purity monitoring and even estimation of the concen-tration and spectral profiles of individual analytes. Of many tools in the arsenal of methods available for mixture analysis the orthogonal projection approach (OPA) is among the most efficient. The basic concepts of OPA are introduced and illustrated for real and simulated data sets to reveal the advantages and drawbacks of the technique.
