PL

Prace nad retrospektywną konwersją katalogów sięgają lat sześćdziesiątych i wiążą się z komputeryzacją procesów bibliotecznych w Stanach Zjednoczonych. Po początkowym okresie traktowania retrokonwersji jako wewnętrznej sprawy i odpowiedzialności pojedynczej biblioteki wobec własnych czytelników, w latach osiemdziesiątych pojawia się coraz więcej propozycji współpracy, także na forum międzynarodowym. W artykule przedstawiono zalecenia w tym zakresie opracowane przez Council of Europe Working Party on Retrospective Cataloguing oraz zagadnienia retrokonwersji w programach bibliotecznych Unii Europejskiej. Omówiono także współpracę bibliotek w zakresie tworzenia katalogowych baz starodruków.

The works on retrospective catalogue conversion dates back to sixties and involves with computerization of library processes in the United States. After initial stage of treatment the reconversion as a internal matter and as a single library responsibility in the face of its own readers, in the eighties appearing bigger and bigger propositions of cooperation, also on international forum. This article presents international recommendations in this scope, which was worked out by Council of Europe Working Party on retrospective Cataloguing and issues of reconversion in the European Union library programs. There was also talked over libraries cooperation in the range of making cataloguing bases of old book collections.
