Vibration analysis of the plates and shells of moderate thickness

In this paper, the basic hypotheses of vibrations of the parallelepiped with two free opposite surfaces and the two other subjected to the Sommerfeld boundary conditions are given. They serve for a derivation of the governing equations which are analysed in some detail. The numerical algorithms are proposed and the calculation results are given allowing to estimate the validity of two-dimensional theories.
