W artykule omówiono aktualnie obowiązujące w Polsce prawodawstwo w zakresie ochrony powietrza atmosferycznego, odnosząc je do dyrektyw Rady Unii Europejskiej, będących podstawowym instrumentem prawnym dla państw członkowskich przy wprowadzaniu zawartych w nich wytycznych i zaleceń do porządku prawnego poszczególnych krajów.

In the article the laws concerning the protection of atmospheric air which are in force in Poland at the present moment are described. Next they are referred to the instructions of the Council of the European Union which are the basic legal instrument for member countries when introducing the directives and recommendations contained in them to the legal order in the individual countries.
