On the coefficients of dimensional changes of sintered elements and green compacts fabricated by isostatic pressing

A new method of determination of dimensional changes of sintered parts and green compacts has been proposed. The method is potentially applicable in production technologies. It is based on measurements of the density changes of formed parts which occur during pressing and sintering. The method has been verified by comparison with the method of direct measurements of dimensional changes. Determination of technological coefficients by means of the proposed method provides higher precision than the direct measurement of dimensions.
