This paper presents a new method of identification of defective reinforcement in a reinforced concrete by means of Genetic Algorithm (GA). GA is a kind of optimization technique based on the evolutional process such as natural selection, crossover and mutation in biological systems, But we propose to change the mutation rate in every generation.
