The economic environment is more and more complex. It forces to new approaches and performances. Therefore appeared in the world such concepts like benchmarking or business process reengineering. They have been treated independently causing very often some problems or difficulties. In practice, the division of them is not useful, because both have the same objective: the significative improvement of the firm's functioning. Both approaches base as well on the same process considerations. Natural conclusion is to join them in mutual relations for the best and most productive effects. And it is the message of the presented elaboration.
