On the basis of the analysis of constructional properties of multi-disk brakes, a methodology was proposed to determine the starting characteristics enabling to establish among other things, additional servo-effect occurring between the brakes. Mathematical relations were derived to obtain momentum values between pairs of co-operating disks. Criteria for selecting constructional properties of the examined mechanism were shown. A calculation formula was presented that allows ensuring the correctness of the presented method.
