Abstrakty

EN

Education for sustainable development comprises a combination of correlated issues addressing the environment, economy and society. Unfortunately, an erroneous tendency can frequently be observed when the economic, social and environmental aspects of sustainable development are considered separately. Following the provisions of Polish strategic documents and the international trends, „The Principles of Sustainable Development” should become one of the basic training courses of the I level university studies (bachelor degree studies) at all faculties. Needless to say, these assumptions remain still in the sphere of planning. The article presents the experiences of the University of Economy in Katowice related to this issue.
