On présente ici une étude de mécanismes de rétention à partir d'une analyse de la résistance au cisaillement non drainée d'un limon statiquement compacté à différentes teneurs en eau (15, 17, 19,1 et 21,1%) et à différents poids volumiques (13, 14,5, 16, 16,7 et 17 kN/m3). Pour chaque état, deux échantillons ont été systématiquement préparés, l'un a été maintenu dans l'état, alors que l'autre a été pollué en mettant au contact avec du Soltrol sous pression atmosphérique. Les résultats expérimentaux ont montré des comportements très différents des échantillons, à relier à différents mécanismes de rétention du Soltrol dans un matériau à quatre phases: solide, eau, air et huile (Soltrol).
