Omówiono zagadnienia projektowe i eksploatacyjne dotyczące poziomych silosów na kiszonki. W pierwszym temacie podano zasady ustalania ich lokalizacji i wymiarów, odnośnie drugiego podano warunki, które powinny być spełnione, aby prawidłowo przebiegł proces kiszenia w celu uzyskania dobrej jakości kiszonki.

The aim of this paper was to provide the guidelines instrumental in sizing and management of horizontal bunker silos for forage conservation. In particular, there are given the data on site location of the silos, their dimensions (i.e. width, length and height), and how to manage the silos to ensure proper ensiling process and to obtain the silage of high quality.
