Przedstawiono koncepcję badania stałości osi celowej lunet wszystkich typów niwelatorów w płaszczyźnie pionowej przy wykorzystaniu laserowego interferometru firmy Hewlett--Packard. W celu eliminacji ograniczeń wynikających z zakresu pomiarowego interferometru laserowego w płaszczyźnie pionowej zaproponowano unikatowe rozwiązania konstrukcyjne systemu. Zaproponowana technologia pomiaru zmian osi celowej eliminuje odczyty wykonywane przy użyciu systemu odczytowego badanego instrumentu, zastępując je odczytami wykonanymi za pomocą o rząd dokładniejszego interferometru laserowego. Na podstawie wykonanych badań osi celowej danego instrumentu wyznaczono przez aproksymację poprawki do odczytów eliminujące wpływ niestałości osi celowej na wyznaczane różnice wysokości między punktami przy zróżnicowanych długościach celowych.

The article presents the concept of the use of Hewlett-Packard interferential system of measurement used for the examination, within the vertical plane, of stability of the sight axis of the levelling instrument telescopes of all types. In order to eliminate limitations that appear as a result of the measuring range of the laser interferometer within the vertical plane, the authors suggest unique constructional solutions for the assembly of elements of the measurement system. The suggested technology of measuring the changes of the sight axis eliminates the instrument reading taken with the use of reading system of the examined instrument. The reading is substituted for another one made by means of the laser interferometer which is more accurate. The authors make corrections of the instrument reading by means of approximation on the basis of such examination. This corrections eliminate the influence of instability of sight axis on the differences of heights between land marks which are made while the lengths are varied.
