Przedmiotem artykułu jest wprowadzenie do problematyki dotyczącej wykorzystania procesu foresight w antycypowaniu priorytetów rozwoju społeczno-gospodarczego. Proces foresight odnosi się do kreowania wizji przyszłości na poziomie kraju, obecnie jednak coraz częściej jest stosowany na niższym poziomie, np.: regionu, miasta, a także wyższym poziomie np. europejskim.

The paper serves as an introduction to the issue related to application of the foresight process to anticipating the social and economic development priorities. The foresight process has been related to creating a vision of the future on the country level, however, more and more often it has been used also on lower levels e.g.: of a region or city as well as on a higher level e.g. European.
